Description
Work on your creative projects in a beautiful location surrounded by like-minded people
What is Creative Camp? Creative camp is a getaway where you can focus on your creative pursuits for a week surrounded by like-minded people. Art, dance, music, photography, software, and all other creative pursuits are welcome. No pressure or specific skill level is required. Just a willingness and openness to create, grow and share. Join us at a house in the beautiful Portuguese countryside where you can enjoy a week of creative work, community, and collaboration, as well as space to share ideas and feedback, tasty food, drinks, and good vibes. Planned Sessions: We will have three pre-planned sessions during the week. Creative Compass: First one is centered around your "creative compass", which is a workshop where you reflect on your creative values and process. Both as a way to plan for the week and for everyone to get to know each other better. Creative demons and feedback session: A session about how to fight the demons that hold us back as creatives and a session where we open up for anyone to get feedback by the group on whatever creative project they want. Show-and-tell: To end the week we summarize the progress we have had on our projects and show what we have accomplished. Excursions and activities We will be going on excursions based on the interest of campers and the weather. Could be any of the following. Beach Hiking Viewpoints Sightseeing Community Learning Sessions Creative Camp is a great opportunity to learn from each other. We would love to learn any skillset you are passionate about! Prior to Camp, there will be an opportunity to sign up to volunteer to teach a workshop, session or activity. All are based on what campers want to share and teach each other. This can also be arranged during the week. Past sessions have included: Makramé Content Creation for Social media Yoga Creative AI Validating business ideas Pasta making Painting How personality affects creation Evenings Evenings are for hanging out, eating, drinking, … or to keep working on your project. Every evening, campers will have the opportunity to discuss what they are working on, get feedback, ideas, or encouragement. Expectations Bring your best self, ready to help other campers and have a good time together. An openness to new ideas and willingness to explore them. You have the goal, attitude, and ambition to create, grow and learn. Help support with kitchen duties and keeping common areas clean. Creation The days will be spent working on whatever creative project you want, alone or in collaboration with others. This could be any form of creation, for instance: 3d-modeling, music, dance, painting, software, design, sewing, and so on. The living space will also be used as a workspace. I understand that different creative pursuits need different environments, where some might want silence, and others want a buzz. I will divide the workspace based on your needs. Bring any supplies and equipment you may need. I will be going for a supply run before the week and helping out if you have any specific needs

Programme
Most of the time is spent working independently as you wish on your own projects. The week is structured with a planning and sharing session at the beginning where we do a creative self evaluation and set goals for ourselves. Two excursions will be planned during the week but most of the knowledge sharing will be done by everyone attending based on what knowledge, ideas and skills we have.
Planned Sessions I will be running four sessions during the week. At the beginning of the week a self reflection session for your creative vision tied to goal setting. Then during the week we will do a voluntary feedback session and a "Facing your creative devils" session. At the end of the week we will wrap up with a show-and-tell.
Skill Sharing These are sessions run on a voluntary basis by campers within an area they have knowledge. This is up to you, what do you want to share? Examples from previous camps include macramé workshop, art class, yoga, meditation, video for social media, and many more.
Excursions: Depending on interest and weather we will go out on excursions, examples from previous camps include wine tasting, sightseeing or hiking.
Independent creation The rest of the time is spent working on your creative project and maybe take a break every once in a while to hang out by the pool.
Enjoy the process of learning and growth.
Escape the stress and routine of today's life.
